Ronan has the ultimate fascination with his Daddy. Since Ronan was very little his daddy has made him smile more than anyone else. In fact his daddy was the first person he ever laughed for. The latest proof that he adores his daddy is now every time he sees Isaac he signs "Daddy". He doesn't sign anyone else's name but he consistently signs Daddy every time he sees Isaac.
I still remember the first time Isaac held him and how happy he was to hold his son for the first time. When Ronan was in the NICU we made a video of Isaac holding him and added the song "Beautiful boy" as the background music.
Besides the excitement of Ronan signing daddy for the fifth day in a row we had a party for my dad's birthday. My dad had surgery last year to remove facial tumors that had extensively taken over his face. In the process of removing the tumors they removed quite a bit of non tumorous tissue including his facial nerve. He is now unable to open the right side of his face. Somehow in the surgery he also lost his ability to taste sweet things.
Even though Xander knew this he thought his grandpa still needed a cake. So we made a birthday dinner for grandpa and the rest of us enjoyed the snowman cake. Now I'm signing off early. Isaac and I have a date with the Chronicles of Narnia.
