Fixing our SUV

The morning started off with PT for Ronan. His therapist had not been out since before Ronan started crawling because she had been sick a few times then Ronan had been sick and time just kind of added up. She was very excited to see him on the move and she thought it was time to work on cruising. One of Ronan's favorite therapy toys is beaded necklaces. He loves to work them in his and and stretch them and throw them around. His therapist used those to get him to stand on the couch. He got clever though and would grab the beads, pull them with him to a sitting position. His only objective was to gain access to the beads and not to remain standing to play with them.

Overall he did really well and his therapist kept him moving today. His favortie thing to do was try to sneak hugs from his therapist and she finally said "We definitely do not have to worry about Ronan socially." She's right his strongest point is social interaction. He would be happy to sit on someone's lap and talk to them all day. He loves hugs and kisses and just being around people. He is heart broken if you pass by him and don't acknowledge him in some way.

I got a lot of school caught up today which is nice because it means my work load for the week will be minor now. We were surprised with Mc Donalds tonight. Not the most nutritious thing in the world but once in awhile it's fun for the kids. Plus mom didn't have to cook dinner. I did notice that Mc Donalds has now included nutritional facts on their boxes and sacks. I was very impressed because it makes people more aware and accountable of what they are actually eating when they eat out. I think it would be great if all fast food restaurants did that.

Isaac is out of town for most of the week. He had to finish a job at his parents and get our SUV fixed. I had blogged about the problem we had with our SUV awhile back and how it was going to cost $1000. He checked around and found a place that could do it cheaper but then he thought he should check with the mechanic where his parents live. He knows this mechanic and trusts him because of all the work he's done in the past. This mechanic said he could fix it for a total cost of $400 and since Isaac trusts him more than the mechanics down here it was an even better deal. The shop is an hour and half away but with the job being $600 less it is worth the drive and gas. Also he had to finish his parent's windows so it doubled for that trip as well. I do miss my husband and I can't wait until he gets back.
