Animal Ears, A Crown and the Yelling of a Baby

Below is my mother graciously constructing sheep and camel ears. She had great prior experience as she just got done making 12 sets of donkey ears for the toddlers at her daycare. She is a teacher in a toddler room ages 15 months to 2 years of age. They are putting on a play about the manger and animals coming to visit and the toddlers get to be the donkeys. She did an awesome job on the donkey ears and volunteered to make the sheep and camel ears for me. She also made a crown for Landon's wise man costume. For the bottom of the costumes we are going simple. I found a tan colored shirt for Xander and then he will have tan pants. Jadzia will be wearing white pants and a white shirt. The ears really topped the simplicity of the rest of the costume and they look adorable. Landon is going to borrow a little robe and then the crown my mom made him will complete his costume. All we have left to do is put jewels on Landon's crown and we're done.I got through the entire project without having to sew.Snow, snow and more snow is what seems to be facing us tonight. A few minutes ago I peered out our back porch only to see the snow blowing wildly around in chaotic formations. A loud beep of the emergency broadcasting system interrupted the cheery Christmas music playing on the radio. We were being informed that the blizzard warning they'd been going on about all day was now in full force. They are predicting 4-8 inches and last years huge snow storm keeps surfacing in my mind. We were snowed in for a good three days. Hopefully this storm will be easier on us.
Inara Nerys has started a new skill. She loves to yell. She loves to yell happy little screams and then laugh at herself. As annoying as this might sound the way she actually sounds is quite cute plus who could not love the baby giggles that follow. Hot Chocolate and snuggly blankets are in tonight's plans

And here is Ronan putting the hole in our bench to good use.
